Beyond their size, small businesses are defined by their spirit. And at the helm are their intrepid founders—scrappy, ambitious, and resilient. They invent and build things despite uncertainty, because it’s what drives them. Their risks lead to innovation that moves the world forward. And we need them.
Writing this review for a family member that went to this practice, it is a sham! They tried to upsell products, acting like his teeth were in the worst shape and that his gums are terrible, mind you that has never been communicated to him in his daily 6 month cleanings. Also, this diagnosis was from a panoramic image not from the bite block X-rays. He was seen by someone who they say is a dentist, and then given a "estimator worksheet" to the tune of 2G's!! All he went in there for was a 6 month cleaning they didn't do anything except try and sell a product he didn't need, they wasted his time. Thankfully, he went to another practice that did the cleaning and guess what his teeth and gums are fine! Patients, go here at your own risk.
My appointment was 11:30. I waited for almost 2 hours. All the patient before were all gone. On lady arrived, she was accommodated after 10 to 15 minutes by the dental hygienist. After her treatment, i was finally called. I asked the hygienist why the lady was treated before when she just arrived. She indicated that she was following what was in the screen which could not be seen by patients. One wonders if there were special people being treated 1st. It was not the fault of the hygienist but the front staffs who made the decision. Can you wait for almost 2 hours to see a dentist? Everybody's time is important.
So overall very suspicious place - would not recommend. Giant waste of time. I scheduled an appointment for 3:30p for a general checkup and regular cleaning. I arrived at exactly 3:30 and immediately noticed a bunch of fear marketing signs about gum disease and “you’re running out of time you need to make your appointments now or it’ll be too late!!” Which I thought was very weird. Should’ve been my first red flag. It took until 4:30 to be seen by someone (1 hour after my appointment time). They did X-rays and then sat me down in the chair for the doctor. About 10-15 min later someone (still don’t know if she was a doctor or a hygenist or…) came in and told me that I had all these dental issues and gum decay and gave me a huge sales pitch for the gum disease prevention product that they had posters up for all around. I’m a healthy 26 year old woman and every other dentist I’ve ever been to has always told me I have fantastic teeth and gums and I should just floss more. I know I’m getting older and it’s possible my situation worsened but they had listed like 15 procedures they wanted to do to my teeth. They showed me the X-rays too and honestly things looked perfectly normal, it really felt like they were reaching for straws. I told them I wanted to understand the cost of what they were doing before they did everything and they said they would. Then a different doctor came in to “confirm” the original “diagnosis” and then gave me what felt more like a sales pitch again. I thought this person was going to start working on my teeth finally but then they left too? Said they needed the manager to speak to me about cost of services. Well at 6pm I got up at left because at this point I had been in the chair for like 75 min, received two sales pitches, and no dentist had even started cleaning my teeth or doing anything. I felt pressured to reschedule before I left so I did. But then I called later to cancel because I decided I wanted to find a different dentist. I asked if they could send the X-rays to a different dentist and they said I would have to come in person to get my X-rays downloaded on a flash drive if I wanted to take them elsewhere because their “secure email doesn’t let them send emails, they can only receive them.” Which I have never heard of before. It’s always been standard process for my past dentists to share records upon being asked.
0.5 Stars out of 5. I should have read the reviews that go back nearly a decade. They are ALL the same. ZERO communication, Dental sales tactics to UPSELL you ($1,200 for a mouthguard?) and of course, historically it seems, Unecessarily LONG wait times. I'm talking 3 hours plus! (11am 'appointment time' and wasn't seen till 3:30pm.) The reception does NOTHING other than make phone calls confirming the next day's appointments to other patients. When I finally was seen and put in the dental chair, They Only did HALF my mouth for whatever reason, so I had to endure this 2 weeks in a row for a standard cleaning of my teeth. They JAMMED the needle into my mouth both times with NO communication that I even needed to be numbed. Very Painful experience. My last visit I was there till nearly 6:45pm and was late to work because of it...What's worse is the fact that I was the ONLY patient there at this time and they kept me waiting in the dental chair for an incredibly LONG time. I actually got out of the chair and walked out to an EMPTY dental office seeking ANYONE to help me. Literally had to yell "HELLO??? IS ANYONE HERE?" like it was a horror movie, seeking where in the hell the Hygienist or any employee even went! After aggressively grinding my teeth down, I left swearing to never return. DO NOT GO HERE.... I will be reaching out to my insurance provider to insist I never have to return to this particular office on Beverly Blvd.
The dentists themselves are kind, helpful, and professional, but there’s some massive organizational issues on the admin side. The first time I made an appointment, they told me I don’t have an appointment, but I had confirmed on the phone what the address was and I saved the appointment in my calendar, which I always do immediately when scheduling. Then that appointment, I waited an hour to get called in, got X-ray photos taken, and was supposed to get a cleaning, but I waited another hour for them to tell me the hygienist wasn’t available. They at least took a mold for my night guard, which they told me to come pick up and I immediately wrote the date and time down that they instructed. I called to change the time and they told me I don’t have an appointment for that day and that they don’t have anything about a night guard in my profile. Then they said that for the appointment they do have on file, I’ll probably get my night guard then. I said thank you and they just hung up on me. Unacceptable. Vast improvements need to be made in professionalism, communication, and organization.
