Beyond their size, small businesses are defined by their spirit. And at the helm are their intrepid founders—scrappy, ambitious, and resilient. Fantastic fast professional service, no problems, shaved down my tooth so the crown would fit properly and perfect alignment with other teeth. No problem in accepting Medi-Cal insurance, no out of pocket very pleased and I would recommend.
I had a fantastic experience with Rosie at this office yesterday. She made me feel completely at ease and she was incredibly informative about the options available. There was time set aside to talk and explain my treatment plan, including costs and scheduling. I liked that she answered all my questions without getting annoyed. She made sure I fully understood the treatment plan which I truly appreciated. Rosie's presence at the office made a huge difference.
My son went to his appointment and was there on time. So he was not helped because the Ortho cancel and no body bother to let us know. So I drove him there for nothing. He had to be rescheduled for another day.
The positives: it's a clean modern office, and the staff is friendly enough (when they actually show up). The bad: I've had Western Dental insurance for years now. I've only successfully managed to get a couple of regular cleanings in that time. My last one was a year ago, and I had to wait two hours past my scheduled appointment time for it to even get started. The office hours say they open at "9am" but it's rare for anyone to show up to unlock the front doors before at least 9:30am (and there is no shade in front of the building, so you'll be baking and sweating in the sun while you wait for someone to show up). Of course, this will only be the first employee to show up; you'll still be waiting for the rest of the staff before they start on their "9am" appointments for the day (in my experience, the first person served is usually sometime after 10am). It's been 6 months now trying to schedule a regular cleaning, and nobody ever shows up for work, so I go and I sit in the lobby for an hour or two and then eventually have to give up and leave because they're not going to fit me in. On the rare occasion I have managed to get my regular cleaning, it's subpar compared to any other dentist I've ever been to. The couple of fillings they did were extremely rough, and had to be redone later. They're also constantly trying to upsell me on services that don't seem necessary at all. I've been trying to cancel my insurance, but they hang up on me every time I call, and there's no method to cancel it online. I'm filing a dispute with my credit card company because Western Dental hasn't provided me any services in a year despite paying for it, and won't allow me to cancel this upcoming year. It might not be a full-on scam, but it's certainly run like one. Stay away.
I was assigned to this office through my Medicare DeltaCare USA plan. My initial visit included x-rays and an exam by the dentist. She actually took the time to read my intake forms specifically regarding the medications that I currently take. She advised me that she needed a release from my primary MD because of my heart condition before she could do my teeth cleaning. Her professionalism was exemplary, her assistant Jonathan was great and I LOVE Rosie, the office manager. They are a great crew and the experience has exceeded my expectations.
