Beyond their size, small businesses are defined by their spirit. And at the helm are their intrepid founders—scrappy, ambitious, and resilient. They invent and build things despite uncertainty, because it’s what drives them. Their risks lead to innovation that moves the world forward. And we need them.
Everything we ate was so well-executed. We tried the bone marrow, oxtail dumplings, wood fired eggplant, crab cake, balsamic ribs, whole snapper, tar bar, and sticky toffee pudding (divine). No misses. They had also added two new items the day we went in, which were the hangar steak with asparagus, spinach, and whipped potatoes (the collective party favorite, every component was perfect) and the roasted artichokes with garlic confit. Would recommend both the new additions. And everything else we tried too, honestly.
This New American-style restaurant was our choice for a special occasion. While we had made a reservation, we were seated at a table right by the entrance, which wasn’t ideal. For appetizers, we had pita bread with beet dressing made with yogurt, which was a nice start. For the main course, we shared a whole fried fish (snapper)and an dried-aged ribeye steak. The fish was massive, perfectly fried, and had a notably tender texture in the head compared to the body. It paired excellently with the seasoned soba noodles. The aged ribeye had a deep, rich flavor, with the aging process really enhancing the taste. However, for $100 for two people, the portion felt a bit small. We enjoyed these dishes with a glass of red wine, which complemented the meal beautifully. To finish, we chose the chocolate tar bar dessert out of three options. It was absolutely divine—the combination of caramel-flavored ice cream, rich chocolate, and crunchy nuts made for a luxurious treat. The food was truly delicious, and I’d definitely recommend this place to friends!
Tyler was an amazing server. The whole team was great. Food was perfect and service was somehow even better. Thank you for the amazing meal and impeccable service.
Such a great spot in the neighborhood, not sure how I haven’t been here before! Great atmosphere for a date night, the service was very knowledgeable of the wine selection and menu and overall just awesome. We ordered the bone marrow and charred gem salad to start and omg that salad was to die for. Bone marrow was pretty straightforward but good. For our mains we had the lamb shank and the duck breast. Both were fab but I preferred the lamb shank while my boyfriend liked the duck better which is funny because he ordered the lamb and I ordered the duck haha o would’ve loved to try the oxtail dumplings which our table neighbors recommended but my bf is gluten-sensitive so I will def come back with my gluten-tolerant friends to try more of the menu!
This restaurant has a lot of hype, but I think it lived up to it! We came here with a group of 4, which is the right amount to try a bunch of different dishes. It’s best to share food family-style here. Everything differs in size so some items are just a few bites but some are more filling. The tables are a bit close together but the staff will try to accommodate if you want to sit somewhere else. We recommend out back on the patio for some more space.
