This place has been in business like my entire life; for as long as I can remember. I remember seeing this restaurant on the NW corner of 3rd/Main in Downtown LA. Then, I finally had a chance to stop inside, when I was about 31yrs one morning and believe me you this place is AMAZING!!!! Now; if you never have the opportunity to visit this restaurant then you should. Whether you’ve had Persian food before or not you’re going to love this cuisine & especially at this establishment. My Experience: So it was around 11 AM, the middle of the week; probably Wednesday. I walked in just to have a quick bite maybe a kebab and a side of rice. What I got instead was an entire platter… including an entire bed of rice under 2 Koobideh Kebobs (beef; But you can choose between beef or chicken), next to an authentic Sharazi salad : Cucumber&Tomato tossed in a lemon and parsley dressing. Of course Pita Bread Slices were included soft and delicious. OMG SCRUMPTIOUS!! I was the first customer of the day and the only person in the restaurant owner treating me like I was the most special person in the world and he then handed me a plate (dish) fit for a King (sorry I meant Shah), lol. Did I mention it was only 11.99 +tax???!! WTH? All that for $12? YUUUP!! It’s true!! So when you get a chance try it out!
Unfortunately, I can't even rate the food because they didn't give me the opportunity. I walked in less than 30 min ago and was told very abruptly that they were closed. I found that odd seeing as the door was open and the ticker in the window was on. I then asked if they opened later and was told they were closed all day today. I walked past the establishment about 15 minutes later and saw some people seated inside. I then called to ask if they were open and they replied that they were. So, tell me what conclusion would I have?
One star for the rice. The beef was raw after 30 min wait you get a slice of tomatoe NO lavash, and the price is not expensive but definitely not cheap. Not worth a second visit or my first .
great food and the price is right. the cook/owner is the nicest man and he gives you a lot of food. check it out!
One of the best Mediterranean kabob restaurants in the Los Angeles area. The chicken kabob is one of the best I have had anywhere.
