This was the best seafood dinner I have had in 5 years. Please see photo for this gorgeous seabass over rice and butternut squash curry dish. The waitress was wonderful. I came at 1130 and by 12n it was packed. Menu selection was great. They even listed where the various fish came from. Even full, the restaurant was not so noisy I couldn't carry on a conversation. Comfortable seats and tables. I'll go back next time I'm in beautiful Santa Monica!

When we first arrived, we weren’t sure what to expect, but we were pleasantly surprised! The food was absolutely delicious and looked wonderful on the plates. The staff was attentive and friendly, which made our visit even better. I’m already excited to go back! I’ve included some pictures to share the experience. We also got to try some tasty fried calamari and a great carrot cake!

What a great selection of ready to eat seafood--it was so hard to choose, so we got a nice spread including the squid salad, baha ceviche, candied and peppered aalmon, and their oak smoked salmon. Each was absolutely delicious and we ate most of it on our car ride back to Ventura. We also grabbed some of their clam chowder, which was very hearty almost as thick as a pot pie and next level in terms of flavor. Next time we plan to try one of their other types of ceviche, their cioppino, and also pick from their oyster variety.

I recently visited the Santa Monica Fish Market for the first time, and wow, I’m kicking myself for not discovering this place sooner! As a longtime Santa Monica resident, I thought I knew all the local spots, but this one truly stands out. If you’re a fan of sushi, this market is a must-visit. They have sushi-graded tuna and salmon—things you usually can’t find just anywhere. The prices are a bit higher than your typical grocery store, but the quality is definitely worth it. Don’t forget to take a number from the machine when you walk in—it keeps things organized while you wait for your turn. Beyond the amazing fish, there’s a little bonus collection of flowers, cheeses, sauces, and even chocolate bars! It’s a nice touch that makes it feel like more of a one-stop shop. Plus, there's free parking in the back, which is always a win in Santa Monica. Sisco, the employee who helped me, was fantastic. He was super friendly and made choosing the right amount of fish way easier than I expected. Overall, it’s a good place to grab fresh seafood and some other random finds.

This picture is from a linguine dish I made at home with some of the best mussels and clams I have had in a long time. The seafood sold here is always fresh, service is super fast and very friendly. Prices are reasonable and totally levelled with the quality offered.
