Beyond their size, small businesses are defined by their spirit. And at the helm are their intrepid founders—scrappy, ambitious, and resilient. They invent and build things despite uncertainty, because it’s what drives them. Their risks lead to innovation that moves the world forward. And we need them.
Went in on a Monday night for happy hour before heading to the pub/bar next door which shows the football. We got there just after 4pm and were next door by kickoff at 5:15pm. The best happy hour. All appetizers and drinks are 1/2 off. We ordered one of basically everything on the appetizer menu and it was awesome. Good size portions, tasty and fresh. We ordered 5 dishes and 2 glasses of wine and it came to under $50. Highly recommend during happy hour.
Came here for DineLA and wanted to love this place but… it does not stack up. First off, the plating is wild. We were served all 8 dishes, including a cold dessert at the SAME TIME. Dessert as we are getting an app was strange. Then for the food, very average and not flavorful. Honestly it all looked better than it tasted. Lobster was some of the worst i’ve had. Could barely remove it from the shell it was overcooked and rubbery. Highlight was a sesame cake / custard that was very good. Decor and vibe inside is nice, lots of space between tables. As I said, you walk in and want to like the place but it doesn’t hit the mark. I would not recommend.
I stopped by during happy hour. I walked in and waited for about 5 minutes even though they weren't busy at all. One person was there. I finally was seated and looked over the menu. The table was disgusting. I understand normally wear and tear but this was sauce/ food. I was brought a glass that was dirty and had a lip stick residue on it. So I didn't drink it. Then I was brought a champagne glass that had the same thing. I drunk straight from the bottle. The plate was dirt and had hair on it. So I decided that I couldn't trust the food. They only out one happy hour drink in my tab and the rest was charge regular. I felt very rushed. I can see why the place is empty.
We love this place! The half off dim sum is SUCH A STEAL and delicious, too! Plus, they are dog friendly with their outdoor seating and always bring our pup water! I also loved their 51 noodles but that’s not on the menu anymore but that’s ok because now I eat the delicious dim sum! They also have great options for our vegan friends!
Normally the food here likely wouldn't get 5 stars but for the half off dim sum Sundays the deal is amazing! While they don't have the largest or most authentic menu, pretty much everything is good except the spare ribs. Word of caution to the fried Taro cake which comes out incredibly hot. Service can be a little slow
