Beyond their size, small businesses are defined by their spirit. And at the helm are their intrepid founders—scrappy, ambitious, and resilient. They invent and build things despite uncertainty, because it’s what drives them. Their risks lead to innovation that moves the world forward. And we need them.
Found this little cafe on Christmas Eve and we're glad we did. Went for breakfast. The food was very fresh and tasted great. Coffee was also very nice. Plenty of gluten free options so everyone is covered. Service was fast and attentive.
We stayed at an Airbnb nearby and decided to try Blue Daisy for breakfast with my wife and our 11-month-old baby on a Monday morning around 8 am. When we arrived, it was almost empty, but by 9 am, the place was completely full, which shows how popular it is! The restaurant has a large and beautiful outdoor patio, which is perfect for enjoying the sunny Santa Monica weather. There’s also plenty of indoor seating if you prefer to dine inside. One of the highlights for us was that they had a high chair available, making it very family-friendly and convenient for parents. [HOT DRINKS] +Turkish Coffee (small, espresso size) for $5 - 4/5 +Turkish Latté (creamy and a touch of sweetness) for $6.50 - I didn’t try it, but my wife enjoyed it. [BREAKFAST] +Breakfast Combo (3 eggs any style, turkey bacon, French toast with fruit) for $20 - Everything was great, but I wished I ordered normal bacon instead of the turkey bacon. The turkey bacon was a bit dry and not as enjoyable as normal bacon would have been. - 4.5/5 +Breakfast Burrito (eggs, bacon, meatsauce, tomatoes, onions, cilantro, mix cheese, side of salsa, and mix green salad) for $20 - I didn’t try it, but my wife liked it a lot. [SIDES] +Seasoned French fries for $7 - 4.5/5 Overall, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable. It’s a great spot for breakfast or brunch, whether you’re with family, friends, or even solo. I’d definitely recommend it, and we’d love to come back again on our next visit to Santa Monica!
Amazing brunch with beautiful atmosphere! Even the bathroom had such delightful scent from bourbon vanilla candles. The salmon balls were particularly tasty and the cappuccino was very well made.
I had the breakfast burrito, which came with a simple yet surprisingly flavorful salad. I also ordered their dark roast coffee (fair warning: this stuff will raise the dead with how strong it is!), and the mint Arnold Palmer! Like a mojito version. It was really laid back as far as zest or flavor goes, but that smooth flavor hit harder than it had any right to. Top shelf drinks and the wait staff were friendly as well. Laura G. was such a wonderful hostess and very attentive. I got there about 830 and it was the perfect time, quiet and just starting to pick up as I left. Definitely one of my top 5 breakfast spots. 💜
Had breakfast here today with my wife. She is gluten free and had the waffles. I went for the pancakes. We both thoroughly enjoyed the food. Staff were friendly and we didn't have to wait long for the food either.
