Beyond their size, small businesses are defined by their spirit. And at the helm are their intrepid founders—scrappy, ambitious, and resilient. They invent and build things despite uncertainty, because it’s what drives them. Their risks lead to innovation that moves the world forward. And we need them.
Dr. Baum's conduct is highly concerning. I underwent orthodontic treatment with him (Westwood office) some years back (2003) when I had recently arrived in the country and had just begun my studies at UCLA. Unfortunately, Dr. Baum exploited my situation, charging me an exorbitant $2000 for a nightguard that I never received (total cost was $5000). This incident was witnessed by his staff, who were aware of my modest monthly income of $1200. Out of this, I was already paying $500 per month due to his inflated charges. This experience not only revealed his lack of professionalism and unethical behavior but also raised questions about his attitudes, as his actions appeared racially motivated. It's disappointing to see such behavior from someone in a position of trust. Adding to my concerns, Dr. Baum terminated the treatment on his own schedule rather than considering the actual condition of my teeth. Essentially, he removed the braces much sooner than the job was completed, compromising the quality of the treatment. This disregard for my dental health further underscores his prioritization of financial gain over proper patient care. Witnessing such a combination of financial exploitation and subpar treatment is deeply disheartening. Note: I observed a curious pattern following my negative review of Dr. Baum. Previously, this profile had accumulated only 5 reviews over a decade. However, within a mere week after my critique, there's been an abrupt influx of 5 highly positive 5-star reviews. This sudden surge in glowing recommendations, occurring in such a short span of time, raises questions about their authenticity.
My family and I have been seeing Dr. Baum for a few years now. The experiences had here were always better than expected. He’s always been very knowledgeable when it come to our orthodontic treatments. I’m very grateful to have him as my orthodontist.
If I could give this zero stars I would. They totally take advantage of young adults. My son needed to get retainer repaired while at college. They are in network for Delta Dental Insurance, and are not honoring the contracted rates, they said my son verbally agreed to pay higher price, even though they lied to him and said he had exceeded lifetime benefits and nothing would be covered. The x-rays were covered, and the service should have been a contracted amount. DO NOT HAVE YOUR COLLEGE STUDENTS GO HERE.
DON‘T BE BRADLEY BAUM’S PATIENT. He is the most irresponsible doctor I’ve ever seen. He does not answer your questions during your regularly scheduled visit asking “why don’t you call me or text me” and when you call him, he’s always doing something else (driving, being with his mother) or having another excuse (I don’t have your information in front of me, I don’t know my schedule tomorrow) to postpone the call. I was referred by a dentist to fix my one and only problem, which is an overbite, and I was assured that aligners will fix my problem. Seven months later, while having checked in multiple times asking will I get my occlusion right (although being pushed back for multiple times for trying to ask a question during my regular appointment to see him) and was assured that we’ll do that with rubber bands. I have not had rubber bands with my aligners til now and he now tells me only braces could work. He says he has worked just fine for 40 years like this, calling patients while he’s driving, postponing calls, forgetting to call patients when he promised to, banning questions during appointments, and lying about treatment plan efficacies.
Loving the change! Noticed a huge difference in my appearance since getting my braces off. Thank you!
