Beyond their size, small businesses are defined by their spirit. And at the helm are their intrepid founders—scrappy, ambitious, and resilient. They invent and build things despite uncertainty, because it’s what drives them. Their risks lead to innovation that moves the world forward. And we need them.
Food selection was good but some items were too salty and others were small portions. Service was good but they did miss one dish and we had them cancel it. We got lattes and they were okay.
Had a great time here last night for happy hour. The courtyard seating and bar is all open air, and it's so lovely. Our server was fantastic. One of the things that most impressed me: my friend asked if they have mocktails, and our server asked for some flavors she likes in drinks. Then she had the bar make a custom mocktail based on my friend's preferences. Quite a service differentiator! When my friend ordered a second one, they offered to make a new custom one. She loved both. The fries were served piping hot and they were deliciously seasoned. My American burger was HUGE and mouth-watering good. I'd skip the tapenade next time--I prefer a chunkier tapenade where I can control the portion. All in all, a great spot for happy hour.
5 stars to the gentleman who gave my dog a tennis ball. Our server seemed irritable and didn’t check on us. The host was also super nice. The oysters were truly divine but we were not wowed with the salad and the clams. Awesome coffee though and dog friendly! Decent free street parking nearby. + love love the ambiance. For the price I paid I hoped for more.
Last minute celebration of our 31 anniversary. Made a reservation for 2. Never dined here before but have walked by in the past. Simonette accommodated us by adding a third seat for us when our daughter joined us. It was a packed Monday, and the restaurant told us there was all evening happy hour. The food was fantastic. Mussels were great, oysters, happy hour hamburger as well as the nicoise salad were all fabulous. They humored us by giving us a little candled creme brulee for our anniversary. Thanks Simonette! We will be back.
Beautiful spot! Spectacular really. Great happy hour, although only until 6 and best part is they don’t force you to sit at bar! You can sit anywhere and make reservations. We had an absolutely horrid bartender ERIC - he literally ignored us when we spoke directly to him - twice, when he was done he said, ok what is it u wanted. He could have acknowledged our presence but no- ignored us until he decided to. When I asked him what the cocktail of the day, he said “high noon” so I asked “what is a high noon” and he literally took a box of premade cans of high noon out of fridge - plonked it down in front of us - the entire box - and left it there! Thank goodness another bartender RUBIN showed up and he was courteous, pleasant, funny and friendly. OVERALL, besides for Eric, we had a wonderful experience. Ohh the happy hour food is well priced and tasty.
